Proceeds from the lottery will be distributed to the following organizations operating in Ontario:
Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation

The OSMH Foundation supports the hospital in its quest to become the medical centre of excellence for Orillia and region. By fostering investments in equipment, technology, tools and programs for the hospital’s medical professionals the Foundation benefits the entire community.
Functioning under the umbrella of the OSMH Foundation, the Orillia & Lake Country Physician Recruitment Program is essential in growing the number of family doctors and specialists in the region.
The Sharing Place
Food Centre

The Sharing Place Food Centre provide food assistance to families and individuals who are food insecure through its well-known, efficient, and highly successful Food Bank.
In conjunction, Sharing Place operates a diverse set of programs that strive to create a health community through access to nutritious food.
One example is its food recovery program ─ partnering with local farmers, grocery stores and restaurants to recover surplus food, and the School Fuel program delivers healthy food to more than 4500 children in 23 local schools every day.
The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse offers a range of temporary housing options, emergency food and shelter, mental health and addiction services for people in vulnerable life circumstances. The organization seeks to alleviate chronic homelessness, addiction and poverty contributing to a thriving community where disadvantaged people have hope, a home and future.
Mariposa House
Hospice

Mariposa House Hospice is a non-profit charitable organization providing specialized end-of-life care, supporting and welcoming their loved ones at no cost to the resident. Offering a safe, beautiful, private location for community members to live out their final days, gives people a place to be together while their loved one receives 24/7 clinical care. Since opening February there have been over 260 residents cared for from the Couchiching area. Their dedicated hospice team provides quality end-of-life palliative care with compassion, dignity and respect in a peaceful homelike facility surrounded by nature.
Hospice Orillia

Hospice Orillia offers practical, emotional and
spiritual support to those in the community
coping with advanced illness, death and
bereavement.
Their volunteers and staff serve clients and their loved ones of all ages and backgrounds with compassion and respect, while honouring their choices and supporting them through their life journeys.
Hospice Orillia’s services are offered to anyone living with a life-limiting illness and/or their friends, family members, and caregivers at the client’s home, wherever “home” is.
The Couchiching Conservancy

The Couchiching Conservancy is a non-profit charitable land trust dedicated to protecting
nature for future generations. Since 1993, the Conservancy has protected over 14,930-acres of environmentally significant land in the Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe region – double the size of the City of Orillia. These places are cared for thanks to our supporters and volunteers, and some of the nature reserves have trails that are open to the public to visit at no cost. The Conservancy also operates a variety of projects and programs including Passport to Nature, Youth Stewardship, and Community Science Monitoring for species such as bats, reptiles, salamanders and others.
Charitable Trust Fund of the Rotary Club of Orillia

The Orillia Rotary Club has a 75-year history of supporting the local community and surrounding area. Large donations include Soldiers Memorial Hospital ($200K), the Bandshell at Couchiching Park ($100K), Rotary Place twin-pad arena ($75K), soccer fields at Kitchener Park ($75K) and many more. Members have raised substantial funds to build the city’s original AquaTheatre and the Rotary Train Railway at Couchiching Park. The club regularly contributes to the local Food Bank, the Salvation Army and supports local needs ranging from mobility equipment for seniors, to church-based meal programs, to helping families in hardship.
The Rotary Club of Orillia is dedicated to causes that improve lives and create a better world. As such, the Club will direct all proceeds of the Club’s second annual Car Lottery to our charitable partners. Help us make a real difference – Buy a ticket today!
